Brini Single Vineyard Grenache 2022 The roundest and most intense wine in the range, dark plum fruits dominate with earth and forest floor characters to create a wine of depth and richness. Sandy based loam soils provide fruit that gives intensity and a brooding edge.
Wait Single Vineyard Grenache 2023 The most structural and savoury wine in the range, brooding in character with earth and briary characters dominating the palate.
Hickinbotham Single Vineyard Grenache 2022 The lightest and most aromatic wine in the range, red fruits mingle with herbal briar characters to create a wine of freshness and depth.

Grenache Blanc is one of the permissible Chateauneuf du Pape varieties, so is beautifully suited to our McLaren Vale climate. A crisp white full of interest and very worthy of the name 'Grenache'.

We like to call the Welkin Grenache "furiously aromatic". It fairly leaps out of the glass at you! Delicately hand picked from a 20 year old Grenache vineyard towards the sea in Whites Valley. Revel in this wine's light body, heady spiciness and juicy acidity.

About The Wines
Welkin Sparkling Chenin Blanc 2021 RRP $28: Our first ever bubbly. Rob won the Chandon Sparkling prize during his Wine Degree so it is about time too! Pale straw colour in the glass. Aromatics of red apple and lemon curd lead to a palate that is fresh and vibrant. Great mouthfeel and length of the palate.
Welkin Clairette 2021 RRP $28: Back for the first time since 2017! Clairette is rare as hen's teeth and very special to us. We named our daughter after it, and visited the home of Clairette in South of France with our own Clairette in 2017. Aromatics of citrus blossom, cinnamon spice, and lime zest lead to a delicate palate with fresh fruit vibrancy and a water weight. A supremely elegant wine that relies on subtlety rather than power and rewards a taster who sees great value in purity.
Welkin Rosè 2022 RRP $28: After experimental Rosè projects in years past, our first permanent offering is here! Elegant. Dry. Spiced. A beautiful salmon-orange colour.
Aromatics of fresh flowers and just ripe strawberries jump out of the glass. Blood orange, grapefruit and cranberry characters mingle on to the palate with fresh
acidity keeping the wine lively and vibrant. A tickle of tannin adds our signature savoury edge and provides good palate length.
Welkin Grenache 2023 RRP $28: We like to call the Welkin Grenache "furiously aromatic". It fairly leaps out of the glass at you! redcurrant and cinnamon follow
through on to the palate with fresh acidity keeping the wine lively and vibrant. A small percentage of whole bunch fermentation in the wine adds a savoury element and herbal notes.
Welkin Nero d'Avola 2024 RRP $28: Devilishly good. This Nero is a restaurant darling for good reason. It is as enjoyable by itself as it is with a huge variety of foods.
Welkin Sagrantino Mataro 2020 RRP $28: Truly unique. The only one of it's kind (that we are aware of). Early release Sagrantino (60%) to capture the vibrant violet and blueberry aromas. Spicy, savoury Mataro rounds out this outstanding duet. 100% McLaren Vale fruit.
