In fact, Grenache is the core focus at Aphelion. This tasting is about the versatility of the grape in expressing sense of place, as well as enhancing and being enhanced by food.

2. 3 Hands of Grenache: Varney Wines
Alan Varney has enlisted two mates to share their Grenache wines at a collaborative tasting.
Grenache enthusiasts can sample, savour, compare and contrast wines from Varney, Aphelion and Willunga 100, and enjoy a tasting plate.
There will be opportunity to purchase Grenache Mixed Packs and enjoy wines by the glass or bottle in the picturesque surrounds.

3. Grenache & Gourmet Wine Dinner: McLaren Vale Hotel
The team at McLaren Vale Hotel will collaborate with award-winning Australian chef Paul Wilson, who has curated a unique 5 course menu inspired by his recent trip to Spain. Head 2KW Sommelier Dan McEvoy will pair each course to some of the finest Grenache’s from McLaren Vale, including the Callow Grenache Blanc and the Confluence Grenache by Aphelion.
