Aphelion Wine Co. x Quay: Luxe Wine Dinner, April 21st

Delectable cuisine at Quay Restaurant is expertly paired by sommelier Shanteh Wong to exclusive museum and pre-release Aphelion wines for one night only, on Wednesday April 21st, 2021.
Eight different minimal intervention, vegan friendly wines by Aphelion's own "Young Gun of Wine" winner Rob Mack explore the varieties of Chenin Blanc, Grenache and Mataro.
Five courses of Chef Peter Gilmore's artistry will accompany the wines against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour at twilight.
"We are pouring for the first time our 2020 Confluence Grenache, and I am extremely excited about the quality of this wine. It is our best Confluence yet." said Rob Mack.
With Huon Hooke awarding 96 points for the 2017 and 97 points for the 2018 Rapture, there is a lot to be excited about tasting.
Emerging white wine variety Chenin Blanc will also be represented by two different takes on the versatile grape. "It's a gateway wine - it can be made in styles like Riesling and Pinot Grigio, as well as more textured styles of chardonnay" said Mack.
While the food and wine will be as fine as fine can be, the mood will be jovial, inclusive and laid back – in the signature style of Aphelion and Rob Mack himself.
